Partnering with one of the top Public Relations agencies in tourism, Paper Road Communications, we helped bring the Kananaskis Nordic Spa to life with a launch strategy that hit all the right notes. This strategy combined sharp marketing and PR, emphasizing earned media over paid advertising to make a real impact.

We fine-tuned the brand identity created by another agency, crafted an engaging website, and developed a brand language that truly connected. Our team handled all the little (and not-so-little) details, from coordinating stunning photography and videography to designing a chatbot for seamless customer service. Together with the client, we worked on signage and customer touchpoints to elevate the experience at every turn.

While another agency laid the foundation with the logo and some basic guidelines, we took the reins to truly bring the Kananaskis Nordic Spa brand to life. Drawing on the client’s inspiration—rooted in the idea of being “bold and brave”—we developed a story that celebrates the authentic Canadian experience. We “Canadianized” the Nordic spa concept, weaving in the belief that embracing the Canadian elements isn’t just invigorating—it’s good for the soul.

Spa resorts often have natural ties to hospitality but in the case of Kananaskis Nordic Spa, the hotel operated under different ownership (at the time). Part of our work was to create a strategy that fostered collaboration and cross-promotion between the two businesses. Through the “Sleep and Soak” campaign, we bridged the gap, offering guests the perfect pairing of relaxation and rejuvenation. We extended this approach by partnering with other tourism operators in the area, building a network of experiences that amplified the region’s appeal.

/Marketing a spa resort like Kananaskis Nordic Spa is like branding two distinct yet interconnected businesses. Alongside the spa, there’s a stand-alone restaurant that invites guests to dine even without indulging in the spa experience. Our team developed the restaurant’s identity, ensuring it complemented the overall brand while standing out on its own. This duality made the social media strategy rich and multifaceted—we told a story of rejuvenation and rest paired with gastronomy and inspired cuisine. Through our social platforms, we showcased how these elements go hand in hand, creating an experience that nourishes both body and soul.
